Vic - Religious vilification cases

The Victorian government passed the Racial and Religious Tolerance Act in 2001.

Following the passing of that Act a number of cases were brought to the Victorian Equal Opportunity Commission.

Some of these resulted in hearings before the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal.

We have a separate section under our Issues area dealing with this law.

It includes a discussion of the law itself as well as various cases that have been taken under the law.
