Anti-Christian Events
The website DefendChristians.org has published its "Top Ten Anti-Christian Events in 2010".
DefendChristians.org is a ministry of the Christian Anti-Defamation Commission. The listed events are in the USA.
The article, the result of a poll of readers, listed the following events as attacks on Christian faith... No 10 is "88 Pro-Lifers were arrested for protesting President Obama’s participation at a leading Catholic university, Notre Dame Uni". No 7 is "Stephen Ocean and Tite Sufra; two young men who were murdered in Boynton Beach, Florida while out sharing the gospel in their neighborhood". No 6 was "Chai Feldblum; a liberal law professor and open lesbian, appointed to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. [She was appointed by President Obama.]
The list continues: No 5 is "Michigan Muslims attack AGAIN; Christians attacked, denied their civil rights and falsely arrested for disorderly conduct at a public festival for peacefully sharing the gospel." No 3 is "Julea Ward and Jennifer Keeton; two women expelled from their respective Master’s programs in counseling at two different universities because they wouldn’t deny their faith and affirm the validity of the homosexual lifestyle. "
And Number 1? "Employment Non-Discrimination Act; a proposed federal bill that would force ministries to hire people who oppose their beliefs or who live in open defiance of their values."
It isn't just happening in the USA. Referring to Number 1, yes, that was what was included in the changes to the Victorian Equal Opportunity Bill in 2010. Thankfully the newly elected Liberal government has promised to REPEAL that law!
