Abortion - Planned Parenthood

The International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) is a supporter - and provider, at least through its member associations - of abortions around the world. They have member associations in many countries - the largest such group is in the USA.

A pro-life group in the USA, Americans United for Life, has published a special report calling for an investigation into the operation of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, the largest abortion provider in the USA.

The Australian government gave the IPPF $9 million last year as part of its 'overseas aid' program. With the lifting of the ban on spending Australian aid money on abortions (by the Rudd Labor government in March 2009 (source), some of this money could be funding abortions overseas.
