1 June 2009 - More good news - Monash Gender Clinic and Director
Yesterday's Age newspaper carried a very good article exposing the Gender Dysphoria (sex-change) Clinic at Melbourne's Monash Medical Centre and its temporary closure. This is something we have been concerned about, and 'quietly' working towards, for some time.
A feature front page article noted that the Monash Gender Dysphoria Clinic is currently closed for three months to review procedures. Two reports, one by the Victorian government and another by an independent reviewer have assessed the clinic over the past few years and found it to be very flawed. Many of the recommendations for improvement have not been implemented. The article said that the Director, Trudy Kennedy, had been forced to quit!
