30 March 2004 – The ‘L’ Word on TV
The L word - is all about ‘Lesbians and sex’ and it’s coming to a TV near you …

This program is due to start this Wednesday, March 31, at 10.30pm on all capital city and regional Channel 7 stations.

Channel Seven has been running a promo – It starts out with, "What is the L word?" Is it Love, is it lust and then goes on to say in bold print, it is Lesbian. While all this is happening there are images of women kissing, playing in the pool and in mildly sexual poses. The L word web site says “Sexuality is fluid. Whether you're gay, or you're straight, or you're bisexual... you just go with the flow.”

The L Word is about the trials and tribulations of a group of friends in L.A., most of who are lesbians. This is about lesbians seducing each other, lesbian sex, having babies by donor sperm, more L sex, some hetero sex and a lot of mixed up ‘relationships’!!!!

29 March 2004 - Final hearing - VCAT case:

Pastor Danny Nalliah was re-examined on Thursday 18 March 2004. A brief hearing finalised the evidence on 29 March. Four weeks have been given to correct the transcripts, then four weeks for counsel to write submission, then two weeks to analyse and comment on the submission from the other side. Then the judge analyses it all!

9 March 2004 - mardi gras in Sydney
There was rain during the homosexual mardi gras parade on Saturday night and a lot less people in the crowd.
Despite that, organisers claim they had more people at the parade than last year. The ABC Online report said "New Mardi Gras co-chair Michael Woodhouse says their marshalls have estimated that between 250,000 and 300,000 people lined the parade route". So most of the media followed the directive of the organisers - with most saying "up to 300,000" people.
One homosexual site said "more than 300,000 people".
BUT to have this many people there would have to be 37 rows of people on EACH side of the 2 km parade at 2 per metre.

Only the BBC was prepared to acknowledge the TRUTH - they said "The crowds, estimated at less than 100,000"....

How many were there? Maybe 4 or 5 rows in some places, much less in others, more at Taylor Square. We have photos and will put them on the website soon. In the meantime, click here to see the photos from 2002.
[10 rows X 4000 = 40,000 + some in balconies, etc. ]
Homosexual journalist Adam Carr analyzed the figures in 2002 - he said between 60,000 to 75,000! Click here for his article.

5 March 2004 - VCAT case
The hearing of the complaint brought by the Islamic Council of Victoria against Pastor Danny Nalliah, Pastor Daniel Scot and Catch the Fire Ministries is almost complete. The last witness, Pastor Nalliah, finished his cross-examination today and will be re-examined on 18 March 2004. [Pastor Nalliah is overseas in the USA until 17 March.]

Then submissions will be put by the barristers on both sides.
Then the judge will consider the evidence before making a decision.
Please pray about these matters. It has been a exhausting and and expensive case.... [It is estimated that the costs for Catch the Fire will be more than $200,000].

If you would like an article or Updates on the case, please send me an email, telling me who you are and your church affiliation.

February 2004

The year is well under way and the issues are already mounting up!

18 February 2004 - VCAT case resumes
The VCAT [Melbourne] hearing of the complaint against Pastor Danny Nalliah, Pastor Daniel Scot and Catch the Fire Ministries resumed on 12 February.
The complainants are expected to close their case today. Then the witnesses for Catch the Fire will be cross-examined, starting with Pastor Scot. The hearing has already gone for 25 days.
Salt Shakers is providing daily updates on the hearing. If you would like to receive daily updates, please email Jeeny with your details [name, church, etc].

16 February 2004: Same sex adoption
Last week, the ACT Legislative Assembly voted to allow same sex couple to adopt children. We believe that children need a mother and a father, so oppose this type of legislation. WA and Tasmania voted last year to allow adoption by same sex couples (Tasmania limited this to 'known' adoptions where the child belonged to one partner).

midsumma and mardi gras
Homosexual festivals are under way in Melbourne (midsumma) and Sydney (mardi gras).
The midsumma festival ended with a 'carnival' on Sunday 15 Feb. The 'organisers' estimates of 'crowds' are well down this year for both the Pride march and the carnival! Sponsors for both events, along with financial support have also dramatically decreased!
