Thursday 28 March

The Federal Cabinet is about to make a decision on whether to support stem cell research using embryonic stem cells. The IVF scientists who are advocating the use of "surplus" IVF embryos have been lobbying HARD and appear to be winning this debate.

One of the main arguments used by cell research scientists and the IVF lobby is that thousands of "surplus" embryos created in IVF procedures are now 'unwanted' by their parents and will be allowed to die at the end of a specified period (5 years Victoria). They say "They'll die anyway, so let us use them!"

We need to effectively combat this argument and Quickly.

The IVF doctors have done the wrong thing by deliberately creating excess embryos - they now want the government and, through them, the Australian people, to be complicit in the decision to 'legally' kill them.

The scientists knew what they were doing and the responsibility should stop with them. They will continue this subterfuge if they are not stopped now. Once this door is open there will be no stopping the rampant killing of innocent human life in the name of science.

Most of the so-called medical ‬ ܂cures‬ "! that are claimed as the result of using EMBRYO stem cells are still unsubstantiated, yet there have been very positive results from using adult stem cells.

We must call on the government to endorse further research on ADULT stem cells.

Senator Heffernan has apologised in the Senate to Justice Michael Kirby and resigned as Parliamentary Secretary on the basis that the Comcar docket he presented as evidence has been found to be false. Click here to read Senator Heffernan's speech and Justice Kirby's response.

Justice Kirby and Senator Heffernan

In a speech in the federal Senate on Tuesday 12 March, Senator Bill Heffernan quoted speeches, a court case and evidence of the use of Comcar to collect male prostitutes relating to Justice Kirby. He suggested he had concerns about him sitting in judgement on paedophiles and that he "fails the test of public trust and judicial legitimacy as set out by the Chief Justice of the High Court". [Click here to get Senator Heffernan's speech.]

Justice Kirby promotes the homosexual agenda, which we believe is inappropriate for a High Court Judge who should remain impartial on all matters. He promotes the homosexual lifestyle to school boys and says that the church should be controlled as to its comments against the homosexual lifestyle. If he continues to do these things, we believe he should not be a High Court Judge.

Click here to read an article (in June 2001 Journal) on Justice Kirby, information on Justice Kirby's speeches and Senator Heffernan's speech.

Justice Kirby has called the Senator 'homophobic' and said the accusations "are false and absurd". Click here to read his statement.

Senator Heffernan, a long time campaigner against child sex abuse, has now come under attack by the media, parties and the judiciary. He has already voluntarily stood down as Parliamentary Secretary to Cabinet, subject to the police investigating his allegations. This has no doubt been done to take the heat off the Prime Minister.

We encourage you to write to the media BUT please be careful not to make unfounded allegations. Call on Justice Kirby to STOP PROMOTING AN UNHEALTHY LIFESTYLE TO OUR YOUNG PEOPLE.

Homosexual journalist reveals that "60,000 to 75,000" people watched the mardi gras!

Adam Carr, a homosexual journalist/activist, has written saying that the crowd estimates of the mardi gras organisers are exaggerated. In an article in the Melbourne Star, a homosexual newspaper, entitled "Mardi Gras crowd puzzle" (March 7, p. 6), he assessed the crowd depth at various points along the route, and estimated a 'total crowd of 60,000 to 75,000'. Police and politicians desert the 2002 mardi gras

Clearly both State and federal politicians have deserted the mardi gras - only Natasha Stott Despoja of the Democrats sent a "Message of Support" this year. One reason could be the constant displays of immorality associated with many mardi gras events.

The Inflated Crowd Figures
They may well also be rightly concerned about the constant deception regarding the number of people attending the Mardi gras events, especially the annual mardi gras parade.

We attended mardi gras this year to assess the crowd figures. The organisers estimated "550,000 to 600,000" people. We estimated less than 100,000.
