Eminem Tour - July 2001

Completed campaign...

Update...

Eminem's tour to Australia, during July 2001, generated a great deal of controversy. Although some of his CDs are for sale to those over 18 because of the offensive themes and lyrics (by the voluntary ARIA code), the concerts were open to teenagers under 18.

Some groups lobbied the Federal Government to refuse to grant him a visa. The visa was eventually granted on the basis he didn't create a disturbance or offend people. During his concerts he openly mocked the government for their restrictions.

Many people then called on State governments to restrict the concerts to those over 18, but this was unsuccessful.
