Update:

November 2001
The Victorian Attorney General' s (Rob Hulls) Street Prostitution Advisory Group released an Interim Report in September supporting the establishment of 'safe' areas in the City of Port Phillip allowing street prostitution. There will be an 8 week consultation period.

Written submissions are invited from the public: the closing date is 16 November 2001.

The Advisory Group will consider the feedback before presenting its recommendations to the government.

To get a copy of the report phone Phillip O' Meara (Legal Policy Officer, Att. Gen' s Dept) on (03) 9651 0589.

The 40 page Report is also available on the Justice Dept website.

The attached article, which was printed in November 2001 Journal, summarises the Recommendations and highlights the findings of the Advisory Group - which are to make it 'safe' for street prostitutes!!!!
