Parliamentary Prayer Network

The Parliamentary Prayer Network prays for Members and Senators and for sessions of Parliament in Australia.

The PPN's main focus is the federal Parliament but there are now groups in many of the states actively praying for Parliaments.

They say "PPN began in 1993 after a small group of people gathered to pray in Parliament House. Since then hundreds of churches and organisations receive our prayer mail and thousands pray for our leaders in groups large and small across the nation."

Our mandate to pray comes from 1 Timothy 2:1PPN-logo_main-772518

"Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence."

The Parliamentary Prayer Network says

"We pray for all levels of government, their families and staff, regardless of their political or religious persuasion. The work of PPN is well regarded in the Parliament.

"Our goal is to have prayer covering all Parliaments in Australia. We also believe God will raise up prayer networks to cover legislatures of nations around the globe."

The Network is co-ordinated by Pastor Lynne Klomp.
